A MAN OF THE (grille) CLOTH
As a man of the (grille) cloth, I am available to hear confessions from those who have “sinned” by buying and applying non-authentic radio grille cloth to their antique and vintage radios.
No more nightmares and sleepless nights tossing and turning, worrying that the substitute grille cloth has ruined the look and lessened the value of your prized radios.
Upon purchase of anatomically and historically correct cloth, all will be forgiven. Your radios and your customers will thank you.

Please read installation instructions to ensure that your radios will look their best when you have finished installing these accurate reproduction products.
For those who are newer to the hobby, I was the first to provide factory-made reproduction cloths for antique radios back in 1989. Prior to that, there was a very limited supply of hand-knitted cloth.

Eventually the closing of my USA-based mills and increased competition made it unfeasible to continue, so I let others enjoy the fruits of their labor. However, I recently noticed that there is now a dearth of accurate reproduction grille cloth available to collectors.
So I have decided to jump back in and make new cloth available to collectors. I hope that all of us benefit from this new supply for the many more years I will be providing it.
Please note: this cloth is not “it’s brown and sort of looks like old cloth” that is found in fabric stores or thrift shops. It is “reverse-engineered” by the mill and re-manufactured to provide as accurate a replacement as possible for the original cloth, while still using modern machinery.
All of my products have been designed to be as acoustically transparent as possible so as not to muffle the sound from the speaker, just as the original cloths were.
Many patterns are either uneconomical to reproduce or modern machinery is not capable of acceptable duplications. For those situations, I will be making new patterns available that are generic and can be used in many radios as viable and complementary substitutes for the original cloths.
